I'm fascinated with drawing hares. They have a beautiful shape but there is also something about a creature that knows its terrain intimately and along with its speed relies on this knowledge for its survival. This one looks particularly striking back lit by the moon.

  • The image is created by hand on my etching press and then painted with watercolours and pastels. I create a number of versions from each plate but each one is unique.
