Boxing Hares is from my range of 'Large Original Artworks' that are available framed for collection or can be posted unframed in a tube to prevent damage.


The hares boxing in the spring are known as the Mad March Hares. Often it's the female that will box the males to test out their strength before choosing a mate. The artwork is a mixed media original that has been created from etching ink and watercolour plus a bit of pastel as well.

  • The image is created by hand on my etching press and then painted with watercolours and pastels. I create a number of versions from each plate but each one is unique.
